SCHOOL CLOSED: Thursday 21st November 2019

Further to a DET Email/announcement this evening, please note that school will be CLOSED for Thursday 21st November 2019. 


Due to extreme weather conditions, Emergency Management Victoria have declared a Code Red fire danger warning for Thursday 21 November in the Mallee and Northern Country fire districts.
Ardmona Primary School is one of a number of schools, early childhood services and TAFE Campuses that has been closed by the Department of Education and Training for Thursday 21 November.
Therefore there is NO SCHOOL tomorrow. Stay safe all..

 

This includes the STEP INTO PREP Program that was meant to run.

Ardmona Primary School invites you to come and visit their school!

We will be opening our doors on Friday 13th September 2019 for prospective students to come and have a look with Mum and Dad. This does not just mean those that are in Prep or Foundation in 2020, but primary school age students of all ages.

The school has organised for an exciting day of fun and learning in what has been an awesome couple of months for the school.

Tours will be conducted on the half hour for people to have a look through the different areas of the school.

There will also be a BBQ Lunch provided at the end.

School Building Opening

July 24, 2019

An exciting time is coming to our school community with the renovations for our school now being completed. 

This Thursday we will be opening this newly renovated area with the help of the Minister for Education and Deputy Premier, The Hon. James Merlino, MP. He will be joined in attendance by Member for Northern Victoria, Mr. Mark Gepp MP and also the Mayor of the City of Greater Shepparton, Cr. Kim O'Keeffe. 

It will be a great afternoon commencing at 1.00pm with refreshments in the form of an Afternoon Tea, happening at the end of the official ceremony.

We look forward to seeing you all on Thursday afternoon.

Ardmona Township Signage

Greater Shepparton City Council is seeking feedback from the Ardmona community regarding the design for new Ardmona township to be installed at two locations.

We reckon that the option on the Midland Highway/Turnbull Road would be awesome!

Feedback is open until 4.00pm on Friday 29 March, so get voting! 

One More Week of Hairy Top Lips

The boys Mo's are going strong and they have one more week to go before they get shaved off. But they need your support. 

The boys, under the tutelage of Mr. Tunks have been raising some great money for Men's Health, but they need your help to get them to their goal.

Ard MO na Launched

Well here we go, this is going to be an awesome month ahead. 

Mr. Tunks, Mr. Howes and Mr. V are all signed up to join in this year's #Movember campaign under the school team of Ard-MO-na Primary School. 

The boys are hoping to raise around $400 for Movember with Mr. Tunks and Mr. Howes supporting general Men's Health, while Mr. V is supporting the Men's Mental Health and Movember are trying to reduce Men suicide by 25% by 2030.

We Have Quiet Acheivers and Terrific Kids

Congratulations to three of our amazing students that have taken home some great awards.

Each term the school combines with the Kiwanis and Rotary Clubs of Mooroopna to award students the Terrific Kids Award. This term the Terrific Kids are Connor (Grade 5) and also Ruby (Grade 3). Both students have been doing great work in the classroom. Connor has really turned his school work around and is working better in the classroom. Ruby has been setting the best of examples in the classroom and really helping the other juniors in the school yard.

 

Brad was awarded the Quiet Achiever Award as he has been doing such a great job in the classroom. His work ethic and also his endeavour in the classroom has been awesome. 

 

Congratulations to all students who have done a great job. We are all very PROUD of you!

This morning in our assembly we had Norm Hill from Mooroopna Kiwanis Club come into the school and present four students with Terrific Kids Awards for a great first term. 

Congratulations to Kaileb (Grade 6) for an awesome start to the year, while Prep Students Oliver, Jayden and Liam also have started the year in an amazing way.

Royal Flying Doctor Service Visit

August 01, 2017

Students had the opportunity to sit inside the cockpit of the replica of the Pilatus PC12 aircraft and test out some of the equipment used by the Doctors and Nurses when the Royal Flying Doctors Service visited last week. An enormous thankyou to RFDS Education Manager Tom Ryan for this amazing opportunity.

Pyjama Day

The Awesome Ardmona Team of both staff and students celebrated a successful Pyjama Day this week on what was a chilly day. Another great example of what a fantastic team we have here at Ardmona Primary School!

CFA Visit

The P-2 class learnt some valuable skills with a visit from the CFA this week including what to do if there is a fire, when to 'stop, drop and roll' and how to use a fire blanket. A wonderful learning opportunity for our students!

Trivia Night

We had a fantastic turnout for our Trivia Night which was held on Friday Night with a number of teams from local community groups including sporting clubs, the City of Greater Shepparton, Shepparton Villages and the Mooroopna and Ardmona Community.  Feedback from participants has been outstanding. Hockey Victoria Clinic

We had a fun filled afternoon of hockey with Hockey Victoria when they came visit our school on Wednesday 8 March.  Students learnt the basics of hockey with many mastering some new techniques! All of the students had a great time learning new skills and worked great as a team.

NAIDOC Medal of Excellence

We are so proud of Kaileb Miller for being only 1 of 20 students across the state of Victoria to receive the NAIDOC medal of excellence.  Many thanks to Ardmona families and community members for attending the event. Gratitude also to Uncle Leon Saunders and representatives from Rumbalara alongside DET officials including Mr Cord Sadler (Executive Area Director) who presented the award. A memorable event for Kaileb, his family, the staff and the students of awesome Ardmona Primary School!
